Helping brands say all the right things

Reach your audiences and your growth goals with copy that balances insight 📈 with emotion ☁️.

Let's Work Together

The Work

“I need to free up our creative team to focus on this pitch.”

“I’m not sure the name is right.”

“It would be so nice to get ahead on our blog content for once.”

“What should this headline be?”

Creative brainpower you can count on

The industry is evolving at a breakneck pace. Work is coming in hot, and your team’s at capacity. Right now, marketing feels like drinking from a firehose. And creatives are pushed to their limits. (Cue the “This is fine” meme ☕🔥)

If you’re at the moment when “Yay, we’re growing!” becomes “How are we going to get this all done?” You’re in the right place.

MEET PARALLEL LINES

Copywriting that lands emotionally & lands you more business

Parallel Lines is a freelance copywriting and content marketing partner for growing brands and agencies. Friend to creatives and marketers. Foe to robotic copy and unremarkable content. Also a foe to the chipmunks who demolish our garden, but that’s for personal reasons.

Why Parallel Lines?

Drawing parallels between brands and people

The best copy finds where your brand overlaps with what people care about and makes a connection that only humans can.

Running in parallel with your team

Parallel Lines adapts to your process, digs into your audience, and hits the ground running. No handholding required.

Many, many lines of copy

With over 15 years on agency, B2B SaaS and in-house teams, this isn’t our first rodeo. Unless you’re a rodeo looking for branding. That would be a first for us.

Real reviews from clients like you

“Gia built out our content strategy and team, generating the primary source of traffic and trials, leading to 3x ARR growth from 2019 to 2021. Gia is a rare find in that she is not only an excellent team and project manager, but she's also a doer that never misses a deadline.”

FAQ

  • I know, I know. I also wanted to play music when you land on this site but it’s just “not a good user experience” and “completely annoying” according to a small focus group of particularly harsh acquaintances. So, no, I couldn’t play Fleetwood Mac’s live version of “Silver Springs” filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in May 1997. But know that I wanted to. Know that I always wanted to.

  • Parallel Lines is a copywriting and content marketing partner to brands and agencies that need to scale. The name comes from the idea that great copywriting draws parallels between brands and their audiences. As a freelancer, I run in parallel to creative and marketing teams, collaborating and becoming ingrained in the way you work. And, of course, the “Lines” refer to lines of copy.

  • The best collaboration happens when working directly with an agency’s creative and strategy teams, or with a brand’s marketing team. I’m also happy to work directly with founders just starting out (<3 naming projects) or as they scale up content operations. Parallel Lines can adapt to your environment, join your existing processes with ease, and bring the camaraderie and emojis to your Microsoft Teams chats.

  • Robots are good at many things, like cleaning and carving wooden sculptures. Wait, no, I’m thinking of Robin Williams’ fictional robot character in “Bicentennial Man.” Anyway, of course, you can have AI write your copy, but it’s pulling from what’s already out there. If you want your copy to look and sound like everyone else, because even when it’s generating something new, it’s based on something, that’s a great option.

Generative AI can be helpful at different stages of the content development process, but human insight, sound strategy, and emotion are still necessary to connect with your audience and reach your goals.
